Event of the Week: Celebrate Overseas IPAs @ Shakespeares
Shakespeares never fail to disappoint with the choice of beers they have on the bar. From solid crowd pleasers to experimental winners, it's hard not to stay for one more round.
IPAs are a big deal these days, it's rare not to find at least one (usually a few) on tap but, in some cases, you could say the options are getting a bit predictable, so Shakespeares are shaking things up a bit this weekend with 6 IPAs brewed outside of the UK.
These beauties are available from Friday, they probably won't last long.
OO Evergreen – IPA - 6% - Gothenburg, Sweden Classic Piney American hops with a satisfying juicy edge and super clean finish
TO OL 3x Nul Citra – DDHIPA – 6.9% - Copenhagen, Denmark Triple Dry Hopped giving glorious bitter hoppiness balancing a slightly funky fruitiness
BEERBLIOTEK Du Luktar – DIPA – 8.2% - Gothenburg, Sweden Big old maltiness to compliment a herbal nose and stone fruits. Hoppy, boozy, and very crushable
FINBACK Mindwipe – IPA – 6.7% - New York, USA Very excited for this. Pretty rare to find Finback on draught in the UK and this import is a delicious, hazy, dry, pithy, hop wonder.
POHJALA x OTHER HALF Koit – Imperial NEIPA – 8.3% - Tallinn, Estonia and New York, USA Idaho 7, Citra and Denali marrying up to make this a very drinkable hoppy juicebomb. Pours thick with a savoury sweetness.
STIGBERGETS x POHJALA Whoa Barry – Rye IPA – 6.3% - Gothenburg, Sweden and Tallinn, Estonia Soupy, silky smooth body and typical bready rye notes with bitter-sweet hoppiness in the good way.
