Freelancing can be a lonely world and 'working from home' isn't as glamorous as it sounds, thankfully co-working space has become more than just a solution for one-way conversations as they improve productivity and develop unexpected collaborations.
Desk.Space, who've been based on Mowbray Street since January 2017 have not only seen new businesses grow but new business ideas form and flourish over a cuppa on a tea break. The success of Desk.Spaces' first venture, an office space of 6 desks (with a shower and car parking!) has since expanded to a second floor and it's popularity has led to a third floor coming soon but that's not all...
This weekend Desk.Space confirmed that next month they're taking on a second location over at Krynkl on Shalesmoor, sitting between a Michelin-standard restaurant (Joro) and a rooftop bar (Inc). Krynkl, itself is an innovative building attracting small businesses with unique identities.
And November looks to be a busy month for the team who "want to create co-working offices in buildings surrounded by amenities to support the local economy, rather than bring it all in house. Our primary objective would be to manage spaces in collaboration with landlords or business owners to enhance their current offering or to revive an area of a building that has been left redundant."
This Is Kelham can exclusively announce a third Desk.Space location. Next month they will also be opening up their flagship office at 117 - 119 West Bar (where Sew In The City used to be). They've been working with local designer Ollie Allen to create another unique but welcoming work environment.
Keep an eye out for more news on open dates & events coming up!
