Help KINCA help our community
KINCA (Kelham Island and Neepsend Community Alliance) is a group of residents and businesses who volunteer their time to improve the neighbourhood and the lives of the people who live here.
They run various on-going projects that include tidying up the river bank, bee keeping, increasing green areas, litter picking, the Ball Street Deli, replacing 'tagging' (rubbish graffiti) with art and much more. All of these projects helped Kelham and Neepsend win the Urban Neighbourhood Award thanks to the many skilled people who live in our unique community. Not only do these projects make our area look nicer, they also improve social inclusion as it gets people outside of their flats and socialise, which has positive impacts on both mental and physical health.
KINCA also work closely with businesses and the council to ensure Kelham Island and Neepsend's future, short and long continues to evolve in the way our community want it to.
KINCA needs a minimum of £120 a month to survive.
This Is Kelham is partnered with KINCA to help increase exposure and awareness. The money businesses put into This Is Kelham will go back into the community via KINCA. The more money KINCA has available, the more time and resources they have to execute projects better so they are asking residents who are unable to volunteer their time to donate a monthly amount (from as little as £1).
